Production Engineer

Summary:
Maratek is looking for a Production Engineer to join our team. The purpose of the production engineer will be to create and maintain production plan in order to ensure that all company goals are achieved and that deadlines are met. Act as a liaison between Operations, Engineering and Procurement to ensure On-Time-In-Full for customer orders.

We look for the following in candidates:

 Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate production engineering processes on a daily basis to produce high-quality products.
• Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards, confirming production processes. 
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations, identify unsafe operations and practices, and file reports to your Manager immediately. 
• Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements. 
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards. 
• Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities. 
• Provides training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals. 
• Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions.
• Support Plant Manager in budget preparation, while monitoring expenses and profitability

Job Requirements

• Must have Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have 2-5 years in Manufacturing
• Nice to have good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
• Nice to have hands-on experience with MS Office and should enjoy learning new technologies and tools quickly 
• Should be organized, approachable and energetic
• must be a team player, a collaborator, and an independent thinker
